Our Beliefs
We Believe
Of the Scriptures
That they have been inspired and preserved supernaturally by God himself down through the ages, and these scriptures are found in the 66 books of the Holy Bible: by "The Holy Bible", I mean the Authorized version or otherwise known as the King James version of the Bible. We also believe that these 66 books of the King James Bible are the pure words of God without any admixture or error, and do reverence these said words of God as our FINAL authority.
(2 Tim.3:16, 1:13; Psalm 12:6,7; Pro.30:5,6; Psalm 119:160; Jer.36:2,4,6,17,18,27,28,32; 2 Pet.1:20,21; Acts 1:16; 2 Samuel 23:2,3)
Of God
That He is a tri-part or triune being whom is known in the persons of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, and all three are equally GOD. We also believe He has no beginning or ending, and is completely self-existent and self-sufficient in Himself. We furthermore believe that He is THE Creator of all life and also that of the entire universe. We also believe that He is holy and perfect in wisdom "declaring the end from the beginning" (Isaiah 46:10) and is omnipotent, omniscient and omnipresent, as He is the "One that inhabiteth eternity, whose name is Holy" (Isaiah57:15).
(Colossians 2:9; Heb.7:14-16; Gen.1:26; Isa.6:8; Rev.1:7,8,13-18; Rev.19:11-16; Dan.7:13,14; Dan.3:24,25; Acts 7:59,60; 21:11; Mark 16:19,20; John 8:56-58; 14:16-18; 16:7; 17:3-5)
Of Man
That he is a fallen creature under the curse of sin, and has inherited a sinful nature through Adam since this fall because of disobedience to God. All men alike have inherited this sin-nature and have ever since been separated from their Creator. We also believe that man is unable by his own merit, strength, or good works, to attain righteousness.
(Genesis 3; Rom.3:10-12,20,23; Rom.5:14-21; 1 Cor.15:21,22; Jer.17:9; Isaiah 64:6)
Of Salvation
That it is a free gift from God to all men, and may be received solely upon repentance toward God and faith alone in Jesus Christ as He is the TRUE God and ONLY Saviour. We also believe that this salvation cannot be received through any working of any Religious institution of any kind, nor can it be achieved by any merit or "good works" of any man; neither can it be given or imparted by any other person than The Saviour himself, as it is plainly understood that this salvation can and will only be received by an individual who has identified The person of Jesus Christ as "The Lamb of God" and substitutionary payment for his own sins (past, present, future) which he has unlawfully comitted willingly or unwillingly. Furthermore, we believe that the Salvation of any soul is NOT a process, but rather an event in the case of a penitent sinner who comes to God and by faith, receives Jesus Christ as his own Saviour.
(1 Peter 1:18,19; John 14:6; John 5:24; 6:35-37; 1 John 1:7-9; 2:1,2; Heb.7:25; 9:14; John 3:36; Acts 4:12; 1 Tim.2:5; Gal.5:1,2; 2 Cor.5:17; John 10:9; John 8:23,24,36; Eph.1:13; 4:30; Rom.6:23; Eph.2:8,9; Rom.10:8-10,13; 1John 5:11-13;
1 John 5:19,20; Rom.5:18-21)
Of Dispensationalism
We believe that the Scriptures interpreted in their natural, literal sense reveal divinely determined dispensations or rules of life which define man’s responsibilities in successive ages. These dispensations are divinely ordered stewardships by which God directs man according to His purpose.
(Gen 1:28; 1 Cor 9:17; 2 Cor 3:9-18; Gal 3:13-25; Eph 1:10; Eph 3:2-10; Col1:24-25, 27; Rev 20:2-6; 2 Tim.2:15)
Of Eternal Security of the Believer
We believe that all those who have believed on Jesus Christ and received him as their personal Lord and Saviour, are now kept by the power of God, and their soul is secured in Christ for all eternity. Furthermore, we believe the moment a person places faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ, their soul is then sealed by the Spirit of God and cannot be undone.
(Jn 5:24; Jn 6:37-40; Jn 10:27-30; Rom. 8:1; 38-39; 1 Cor 1:4-8; 1 Pet 1:4-5; Rom 13:13-14; Gal5:13; Tit.2:11-15; Eph.1:12,13; 4:30; Jn.3:16; 1Jn. 3:9)
Of the Church
That the church herself is NOT a physical building; but is rather a spiritual organism made up of born-again believers in Christ all over the world; and this church constitutes the collective body of Christ, of which He (Jesus Christ) is the head. Furthermore, we also believe though culture, nationality, and perhaps doctrine may vary among Christian denominations; it is NOT a pre-requisite to attend any local assembly in particular to be a part of the church, but anyone who is born-again of the Spirit of God is placed in this church body.
(Eph.1:22-23; Col.1:18, 24; Eph.5:23-24, 30-32; 1 Cor.12:13)
Of the Local Church
We believe that the local church is a visible expression of the Body of Christ and is a congregation of believers in Christ immersed by that “spiritual” baptism upon a credible confession of faith, and associated together by covenant for worship, evangelism, observance of the ordinances, and fellowship. We believe that the local church is the center of God's program for this age, and that every Christian is bound by Scripture to give his unhindered cooperation to the program of his local church. We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ has commissioned the believers to take the Gospel to the world, and that evangelism at home and abroad should be primary in the program of the local church. It is the responsibility of the believers to witness by life and by word to the truths of the Holy Scriptures and to assume responsibility for the propagation of the Gospel to all the world. We believe that it is the responsibility of all believers to remember the work of the local church and its extended ministries in prayer, to support it with their tithes and offerings as the Lord prospers them, to participate in all the regular services of the church as the Lord enables, and to voluntarily submit to the watch, care, and discipline of the local church.
( Acts 2:41-47; 14:27; 20:17; I Tim. 3:1-16; Titus 1:5-11; I Cor. 3:10-17; 5:1-5; 11:2; Matt. 28:19-20: Acts 1:8; I Cor.16:2; II Cor. 9:7; Heb. 10:19-25; 13:17,18)
Of the Two Ordinances
We believe the church has been given the ordinances of Baptism and the Lord's Supper:
-
We believe “baptism” to be the immersion in water of the “born again” believer in the presence of the local church, in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, which testifies of the believer's faith in the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ as the true God and Saviour; and it's effect in our death to sin and resurrection to a new life.
-
We believe “the Lord's Supper” to be the communion of “unleavened” bread and the fruit of the vine – the pure blood of the grape – not fermented wine; and they are to be partaken of by the born-again believer alone in fellowship with God, who, by way of remembrance, partake of the elements after self-examination and reflection together upon the dying love of Jesus Christ, in which His body was “broken” for the penalty of sin; and of His blood which was shed to atone for sin.
(Acts 8:36-39; Matt.3:6,16; 28:1,9-20; John3:23; Rom.6:4-5; 1 Cor.11:23-28)
Of the Devil and Satan
We believe that Satan was once holy, and enjoyed the glories of Heaven along with princely honors; but his pride and desire to be “like the most High” and Almighty God, brought about his fall and that of a host of angels whom he deceived; that he is now the prince of the power of the air and unholy god of this world. We believe him to be man's greatest tempter, the enemy of God and His Christ, the accuser of the saints, the author of all lies and false religions, the chief spiritual power and author of the present apostasy and ALL powers of darkness and evil alike; he is the lord of the antichrist, destined to be defeated and judged by God the Son, and thereafter be cast into that lake of fire for all eternity which was prepared for him and his angels.
(*Isa.14:12; Eze.28:13-17; Rev.12:9; Jude 6,11; 2Peter 2:4; Eph.2:2; John 14:30; 1 Thess.3:5; Matt.4:1-3; 1 Peter 5:8; 1 John 3:8; Matt.13:25; 37-39; Luke 10:18; 22:3-4)
Of Creation
We believe in the Genesis account of creation, and that it is to be accepted as literally – not allegorically, or figuratively; that man was created directly by God and specifically in His own image and after His own likeness; that man's creation was neither a matter of evolution or evolutionary changing from one species to another, nor was it a development or growth through years or time from lesser to higher forms; and that all animal and vegetable life was made by God with a mandate to produce or bring forth only “after their kind” whose “seed was in itself”.
(*Genesis 1-3; Col.1:15; Heb.1:1,2; 1 Tim.4:3-5)
Of Civil Goverment
We believe that God has ordained the powers that be and created the three basic institutions of authority: 1) the home, 2) the church, 3) the state or government. Every person is to subject themselves to these authorities, but all (including the authorities themselves) are and will be answerable to God, and should be governed by His Word. God has provided each institution with Biblical responsibilities and would have us to balance those responsibilities with the understanding that NO institution has the right to infringe upon the other. The home, the church, and the state are equal and sovereign in their respective Scriptural assigned sphere of accountability under God.
(*2 Sam.23:3; Ex.18:21; Matt.22:21; Acts 4:19-21; Rom.13:1-7; Eph.5:22-24; Heb.13:17; 1Pet.2:13,14; Psalm 71:11)
Of Jesus Christ
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God became man, without ceasing to be God, having been conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary, in order to reveal the true God and LORD, and finally redeem sinful men by providing the “cure” or atonement for sin in the shedding of His blood on Calvary.
(*Isa.7:14; 9:6; Luke 1:35; John 1:1-2,14; 2Cor.5:19-21; Gal.4:4-5; Phil.2:5-8; Isa.40:5; Rom.3:24,25; 5:11)
Of Heaven
We believe that heaven is a real place where Jesus Christ is now seated at the right hand of the Father. Also, we believe this place to be especially designed for those whom God will someday take to be with Him.
(*John 3:16; John 14:1-3; I Thessalonians 4:13-18; Hebrews 10:12; Revelations 4:1)
Of Hell
We believe that hell, is a literal place and that it was prepared for the Devil and his angels. Any unsaved person that dies will be confined to hell until the Great White Throne judgment, where they will receive judgment and be cast into the lake of fire.
(Psalms 9:17; Proverbs 15:11,24; Isaiah 14:9; Matthew 25:41; Luke 16:19-31; Revelation 20:12-15)
Of The Rapture
We believe in that 'blessed hope', the personal, pre-millennial, pre-tribulation, and imminent return of our Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ.
A. We believe that when He returns, though this world will not see Him, He will gather all born again believers, past and present, unto Himself in the clouds, and take them to Heaven.
B. We believe they will stand at the judgment seat of Christ, followed by the marriage supper of the Lamb.
(*I Corinthians 3:12-15; 15:42-58; II Corinthians 5:10; I Thessalonians 4:13-18; Revelations 4:1; 19:9)
Of The Tribulation
We believe that once the rapture has taken place, those left behind, will go through a seven year period called the Great Tribulation; that this Tribulation is also called the "time of Jacob's troubles", and its fulfilment IS DETERMINED upon Israel primarily, as prophetically foretold of Daniel to be the 70th week to bring an "end of sins" and "finish the transgression".
{Revelations 5:1-18:4; Matthew 24:21,22; Jer.30:7; Dan.9:24-27; Luke 21:23}
Of The Millennial Kingdom
We believe that after the tribulation period, Christ Himself shall return to the earth visibly in body with His saints to set up His Kingdom of a one thousand year period of righteous rule, during which Satan shall be bound. We also believe at the close of this Millennium, Satan is again loosed for a short season, but is afterward banished forever to the Lake of Fire. We furthermore believe, that after Christ’s Millennial reign, unbelievers of all ages will stand in judgment at the Great White Throne of Almighty God.
{Daniel 2:31-35; Revelation 19:1-20; 20:1-15}
Of Marriage, Family, and the Home
We believe that God has instituted the home to be the foundation for human society upon which every child is groomed, prepared, and fitted for life. We also believe the family may be composed of persons whom are related to one another by marriage, by blood, and/or through means of adoption. Furthermore, we believe the only legitimate God ordained marriage is the joining of one man and one woman.; that the two (the husband and wife) are God's gift to mankind to reveal the union between Christ and His church, to provide for the man and the woman in marriage the framework for intimate companionship, the channel of sexual expression according to biblical standards, and the means by which God designed the pro-creation of humankind. We believe that God has delineated in scripture separate spiritual functions for each member in the home and the church; that men and women are of equal importance before God, though he has placed the husband to be the leader and head of the home. It is a God-given responsibility conferred upon the husband to provide for, protect, and lead his family in the best of his ability with God's word as his manual and guide for life . The husband is to love his wife as Christ loves and nourishes the church. The wife is to submit herself to the Scriptural leadership of her husband as the church submits to the headship of Christ; she is to guide the home and assist in the proper care of the family, and managing the home. We believe that children are an heritage from the Lord, and it is the joint responsibility of the parents to instruct, teach, admonish, and guide their children in spiritual and moral values, through consistent lifestyle example, appropriate love and discipline, including Scriptural correction.
(*Gal.3:28; Col.3:18-21; 1 Tim.2:8-15; 3:4,5,12; Gen.1:26-28; Ex.20:12; Deut.6:4-9; Ps.127:3-5; Pro.19:18; 22:15; 23:13-14; Mk.10:6-12; 1 Cor.7:1-16; Eph.5:21-33; 6:1-4; Heb.13:4; 1 Pet.3:1-7)
Of Human Sexuality and Gender Distinction
We believe the Holy Scripture clearly commands that no intimate sexual activity be engaged in outside of a marriage between a man and a woman. We also believe that any form of homosexuality, lesbianism, bisexuality, bestiality, incest, fornication, and adultery, are sinful perversions of God's gift of sex; that they are unnatural and God disapproves of these various forms of sexual conduct. Furthermore, we believe that God forbids and cannot condone any attempt to alter one's gender by surgery and/or appearance through any other means; and that any disagreement with one's biological sex is offensive to God.
(*Gen.2:24; 19:5, 13; 26:8-9; Lev.18:1-30; Rom.1:26-29; 7:2; 1 Cor.5:1; 6:9; 7:10; 1 Thess. 4:1-8; Heb.13:4; Eph.5:22-23)
Sanctity of Life
We believe that God is the Creator and sustains all human life, therefore all mankind has purpose and intrinsic value; that God is the Sovereign Lord of life, therefore all mankind has the inherent right of life from conception to natural death. We also believe that abortion, murder, suicide, and euthanasia are sinful and against God's creative purpose for man.
(*Genesis 1:26; 9:6; Exodus 20:13; Job 1:21; Psalm 139:13-18; Jeremiah 1:5; Acts 17:24-28)
